What was the highlight of Le Manoir de Bellerive
Great
Lovely hotel run by a delightful couple, Michelle and Ann-e. They could not do enough for us and made our stay very special. The hotel has a echo of the Far East as the owners have constructed a Chinese garden which is wonderful to wander around.
Little bit of a walk into the small village which has only a couple of small eating places.

The manager was welcoming and friendly. He appears to run the hotel single handed.
good location
no lift and the lower priced bedrooms are a steep climb up two sets of stairs. Despite the hotel being empty we had to pay 200 euros a night for a room on the first floor.

Absolutely loved it! Superb place for a long and relaxed stay in the Dordogne
We stayed at the Manoir Bellerive in August and absolutely loved it from beginning to end. The room was spacious with very powerful aircon, great little fridge and wifi. Really comfy beds. Particularly loved the large swimming pool overlooking the Dordogne and the delightful grounds with exotic plants and lily ponds. The local area is great too - very convenient for shops / restaurants at Buisson de Cadouin and the amazing river beach. The highlight of the stay though has to be the very warm welcome and relaxed yet professional approach from Michele and the team. They are obviously putting 1000% into the whole operation and you can tell in the level of care which felt more like a 5 star boutique hotel. We definitely hope to return one day!
Honestly nothing - we initially only stayed a night after being hesitant but fell in love with the place and extended. The contrast with other hotels in the region was obvious - we've stayed in a few places where especially having younger kids in tow you're made to feel like a bit of an inconvenience - not at all the case here whee we could fully relax.
